RUMPELSTILTSKIN

 SCRIPT:

NARRATOR:  Once upon a time in a kingdom faraway there was a miller who was poor, but who had a beautiful daughter. The girl worked very hard, and her father wanted a better life for her. One day her father went to speak to the king.

FATHER:   I have a beautiful  daughter who can spin straw into gold.
KING:  I would like to see her.  If your daughter is as clever as you say, bring her tomorrow to my palace, and I will put her to the test.

NARRATOR:   When the girl came to the palace, he took her into a room which was full of straw and gave her a spinning-wheel.

KING:  Now get to work, and if by tomorrow morning you have not spun this straw into gold during the night, you and your father will be sent away from my kingdom.

NARRATOR:  Then he locked up the room, and left her alone.

GIRL: Oh, what am I going to do?.  I don`t how straw can be spun into gold!.

NARRATOR:  Then the door opened.

RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  Good evening, why are you crying?.
GIRL:   I have to spin straw into gold, and I do not know how to do it.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  What will you give me if I do it for you?.
GIRL:   My necklace.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  I accept.  Give me your necklace.

NARRATOR:  Then he sat in front of the wheel, and whirr, whirr, whirr, three turns, and the reel was full, then he put another on, and whirr, whirr, whirr, three times round, and the second was full too. And so it went on until the morning, when all the straw was spun, and all the reels were full of gold.

RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  I have to go now since I already finished my work.  I will see you soon.
NARRATOR:  Then the King entered the room.
KING:  Oh!.  I am so surprised and delighted of your work, little gir!.  Now you will go to  another room full of straw and will keep spinning.

NARRATOR:  The girl didn`t know what to do, and started crying again.  Then Rumpelstiltskin appeared.

RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  What will you give me if I spin that straw into gold for you?.
GIRL:  The ring on my finger.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN: Give me your ring, and I’ll do the work for you.

NARRATOR:  Again the Rumpelstiltskin began to turn the wheel, and by morning had spun all the straw into glittering gold, and disappeared.  Then the King entered the room.

KING:  This is marvelous!.   Now you will go to a still larger room full of straw, and you must spin and spin the entire night, and if you succeed, you will be my wife.

NARRATOR:  When the girl was alone the Rumpelstiltskin came again for the third time.

RUMPELSTILTSKIN: What will you give me if I spin the straw for you this time also?.
GIRL: I have nothing left that I could give you.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  Then promise me, when you become queen, you will give me your first child.
GIRL:  I promise!.

NARRATOR:  Rumpelstiltskin once once more spun the straw into gold.  In the morning he disappeared again.  Then the King entered the room.

KING:  Very good.  Now you will be my wife.  You will become queen.

NARRATOR:  A year after, she brought a beautiful child into the world, and she forgot about the promise she made to the Rumpelstiltskin.  Suddenly he came into her room.

RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  Now give me what you promised.
GIRL: Oh no, I can not give you my son.  I offer you all the riches of the kingdom if you don`t take my son away from me.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  No, he is dearer to me than all the treasures in the world.
GIRL:  Please, no!.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  I will give you three days.  If by that time you find out my name, then  you will keep your child.

NARRATOR:  So the queen thought the whole night of all the names that she had ever heard.

GIRL:  What can his name be?.  I know, I will send a messenger over the country to find out for any other names that there might be.

NARRATOR:  When the Rumpelstiltskin came the next day, she said.

GIRL:  Mmm your name is Caspar.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  No.
GIRL: Melchior?.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  Of course not.
GIRL:  Then it`s  Balthazar.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  That is not my name.

NARRATOR: On the second day she asked around the neighborhood for names of the people there.  When Rumpelstiltskin came again, she said.

GIRL:  Perhaps your name is  Shortribs.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  No!.
GIRL: Then it`s Sheepshanks.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  Think again.
GIRL:  Laceleg?.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  That is not my name.

NARRATOR:  On the third day the messenger came back again, and said.

MESSENGER:  I have not been able to find a single new name, but as I came to a high mountain at the end of the forest, there I saw a little house, and outside the house before the house a quite ridiculous little man was jumping, he hopped upon one leg, and shouted:

     Today I bake, tomorrow brew,
the next I’ll have the young queen’s child.
How glad am I that no one knew
  that Rumpelstiltskin is my name.

GIRL:  Oh this is great news.  Thank you!.

NARRATOR:  Rumpelstiltskin came that very same day to see the queen.

RUMPELSTILTSKIN: Now, my dear queen, what is my name?.
GIRL:  Is your name Conrad?.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN: No.
GIRL: How about Harry?.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  No.
GIRL:  Perhaps your name is Rumpelstiltskin?.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN:  Who told you that?.
GIRL:  Now, you have to keep your promise.  I told you your name, you will not take my little son with you.
Rumpelstilskin: “Impossible!  No fair!  No fair!”

Narrator: The little man screeched angrily, stamping his foot hard on the ground. He scurried around the queen’s room in a fit of rage.  He smashed into walls; he thumped his foot; and he bumped his head.  He smashed and thumped and bumped and jumped.  And then, so blind with anger, the strange little man jumped right out of the queen’s window.  He was never ever ever seen again.

My Unforgetable Moment
Last week, On Friday September 16th – September 17th 2016 I joined Science Camp at Bougenville Villa and it was one of my unforgetable moment.

Research, Olympic, and Technology Team in my school (called TRILOGY) usually holds Science Camp every year for some selected 10th grade students, and fortunately they selected me to become Science Camp 2016 participant
.
Every participant was incorporated in some division. There were Biology, Math, Astronomy, Chemistry, Physics, Informatics, Geography, Economy, and research division. I was incorporated in Biology Division with some other friend from another class.
On September 16th 2016, we gathered at our school, we were going to go to Bougenville villa with Military Truck. Not long after that, the truck arrived at school, there were two military trucks, for boys and for girls. Then, we entered the truck and we started the JOURNEY!

On the way to the camp, we laughed and sang together. It was very fun, because we could talk about science and we also made fun of our friend because she adored one of our senior who also incorporated in Research, Olympic, and Technology School Team. Everyone sang together, took pictures, and talked about anything. I enjoyed to be surrounded by such people, because they have same passion as me, passion in Science, so we could talk a lot about Science.

When we arrived at the camp, we directly went to the auditorium to learn about research and how to make a good science report. There were also some teachers from our school and a scientist from LIPI (Indonesian Istitution of Science) who taught us more about science and shared information about research.

After a short break in the afternoon, the participant of each division gathered with their preceptor. So, the biology division and I gathered with Mr. Zaenal (Preceptor of Biology Division). We gathered at the river, we sat on the big river stone in the middle of the river. It made study biology more interesting because we studied in the middle of the river. We learned about anything while hearing the water flew in the river, it was very relaxing and also very fun. We learn about how we could feel itchy when we touch caterpillar, we learned about it while watching the caterpillar moved on the river stone. Study science is more fun if we study directly to the nature.

After that, the participant were be divided into some small teams, each team consisted some students with different division so we could share our knowledge. Those small teams was been given a task to do a research. My team had a research about strawberry that could indicate the borax content in the food, we named it MIBORI. We did the research with Ben and Huri, they are our senior in TRILOGY, they guided us and taught us about how to do a research very well and how to make a good science report.

In the following morning, we woke up earlier, we pray Shubuh and had ice breaking, after that we had a quiz and to solve it we had to combine some knowledge from different subjects, such as physics, math, biology, chemistry, and many more, we solved the problem in quiz with our group.

After had a breakfast, we had a presentation to tell about our research. My team and I told the audience about our research quite good and I was relief because my team and I already completed all the task in Science camp.

Before we went back to our school, we took lot of pictures together and we played kites at the camp, I was very happy, it was a very pleasing moment, I felt grateful that I had a lot of new experiences from SCIENCE CAMP 2016!

Gili Trawangan

Indonesia is a beautiful country with many fabulous holiday destination. I’m interested  about spending holiday at one of the fabulous holiday destination in Indonesia, Gili Trawangan.
Gili Trawangan is located of just off the northwest coast of Lombok. it is around thirty minutes boat ride from the northwest mainland of Lombok and regular daily fast boats depart Bali directly toTrawangan island and all boats stop off at Teluk Nare on mainland Lombok as part of the return journey. (gili-paradise.com).

Gili Trawangan attracts so many visitors every year. Why Gili Trawangan is included in my ‘places to visit’ list? It is because I want to enjoy the beautiful beach scenery at Gili Trawangan. The beaches at Gili Trawangan are powdery white with clear blue water. It is perfect to watch sunrise or sunset at the beach.

Based on what I read on the internet and what I heard from people experiences, do snorkeling at Gili Trawangan is a must. There are dive centers at several beaches that rent snorkeling equipment, and with low price (about 50.000 rupiahs for half a day) we can enjoy the exotic underwater scenery. I think it would be great watching some tiny and colorful fish swiming around us and see the corals with various color.

Not only snorkeling, sunbathing and horse riding are also incuded in ‘things to do at Gili Trawangan’ list. Even though the horse riding route is not very challenging but it will be relaxing to do horse riding while exploring the beautiful panorama of Gili Trawangan.
We also can walk along the perimeter of Gili Trawangan to explore the beach, it usually takes around two hours. People usually watch sunset at the beach while drink coconut. Many people are also take picture. I found many beautiful pictures that show the sunset panorama at Gili Trawangan

In Gili Trawangan, we are prohibited to use motor vehicle, it means that we had to go on foot, ride bike, or maybe try to use pony carts called Cidomos. So, we can enjoy hearing the waves sound instead of hearing the noisy motor vehicles sound.
If we burn out of school and stuff, I think Gili Trawangan is a perfect place to get relax. Indonesia has so many fabulous places, and as Indonesian, we have to have responsibility to maintain it beautifulness.

MEGANTARA
Every year, SMAN 3 Bandung always hold an Indonesian art, literature, and culture festival. This year, they chose MEGANTARA as the title of the festival. Megantara means “Nusantara (Indonesia) is a pretentious glow”. This event is a media for SMAN 3 Bandung students to show and persuade everyone to love Indonesian culture.

I was one of Megantara Committe. I was in photography division and I was also a “door to door” committe. Door to door committe came to students house to meet student’s parents and to persuade the parents to donate funds for Megantara. To held this event was not as easy as we thought. It was a very hard work from all the committe to made this very big event. They collected funds, decorated the stage and stands, made a banner to attract people to come to Megantara, and many more. They worked day and night for Indonesian art, literature, and culture festival,  “MEGANTARA”.

Megantara was held on September 10th 2016, at Bali Field, Bali street, Bandung. There were many stands in Megantara with attractive decoration. Such as Java, Sumatera, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Papua stand. Each stand sold food from each island. Such as Sumatera stand sold pempek, sate padang, and many more. In Java stand there was also a Batik stand, the visitors could learn how to make batik in the stand. In Kalimantan stand there was also a big photobooth with 3 traditional boat, made from bamboo, so everyone could take some pictures. In Sulawesi stand visitors could play some games from Sulawesi, and there was also a photobooth. In Papua stand there was a face painting stand, we could request a design to the painter and the painter would pain it on our face, and it only costed 10.000 rupiahs.

In Megantara there were a lot of performances, such as Reog Ponorogo, Traditional cloth fashion show, and Indonesian traditional dance. Some extracuricular in SMAN 3 Bandung were also performed in Megantara, such as Angklung, theater, vocal group, classic music, band, and sundanese culture extracuricular.

The visitors of Megantara were not only SMAN 3 Bandung students, there were a lot of students from the other school, and even more Bandung City Mayor, Ridwan Kamil, attanded this event.

I, as a committe, was very happy to see many visitors enjoyed this big event. They brought food from food truck, took photos at photo booth, played games at stand, and watched cool performances in front of the stage from morning until afternoon. In the evening, almost all the visitors gathered in front of the stage, because they wanted watch performances from professional musician, The Chancuters and RAN. The visitors really enjoyed the performance, they sang together, and danced together with the artist, the Changcuters and RAN really entertained all the visitors in Megantara, they couldn’t even lost their eyes from the stage because it was a spectacular performances with  very cool lighting. It was a very pleasing performances. My friends and I recorded some videos and took some photos. At the end of the performances there were fireworks and there were also colorful paper that shot to the visitors in front of the stage, it made Megantara more spectacular.

Megantara was a very big event from SMAN 3 Bandung. I was glad as the committe, that we’ve made a great event, it was tiring and also very challenging, I got experiences about how to make a big festival, and I learned about hardwork and big spirit from all Megantara committe. I enjoyed this event very much, and I thought, so did the visitors, and it was a pride to make an event that pleased many people. I hope there will be a very pleasing event like Megantara next year. See you at next SMAN 3 Bandung Indonesian Art, Literature, and Culture Festival!

WORLD TOURNAMENT TECHNO FESTIVAL
On August 20th 2016, SMAN 3 Bandung held an activity named WTTF (World Tournament Technofest). This activity was joined by 10th and 11th grade. A day before the tournament, each class had to set their own dresscode, and my class (X MIPA 9) chose black dresscode, so everyone in X MIPA 9 had to wear black cloth, several girls wore pink fail, and for the addition we wore gold ribbon on our hand so that we would recognize our classmate easily.

On Saturday morning, we gathered in Bali Field, wore the dresscode of each class. I sat in the middle of the row, chated with my friends. Not long after that, the committe start the activity by telling the rules in WTTF. We had to speak in English to everyone, not only to the commite but also to our friends, and they also told us there would be several committes disguised to be aliens, the aliens wore raincoat and brought some water ballons, they also had puzzle, and we had to collect puzzle as much as we could by throwing the aliens with water ballons.

After that, the committe told us that there were some place we had to go, but they didn’t tell us what place it was, they just gave us 2 water ballons and a map with a clue on it. After discussed with my classmate, my friends and I started to go to Tongkeng Park, accompanied by two WTTF committes.

In Tongkeng Park, there were several committes and two aliens, so we chased the aliens, but unfortunately the aliens ran away and we couldn’t catch them. Then, the committe told us that we had to make a robot with cardboard, mineral water bottle, and straw. We had to create a robot with our creativity, and the team who made the best robot would be the winner. And the first battle is between X MIPA 9 and XI MIPA 9. And the committe anounced that the winner was XI MIPA 9.

Before we went to the second place, we read the map and the clue, and we decided to go to Photography Park. In Photography park we played a game named twister, it was fun and really entertaining. After that, we went to our school, SMA 3 Bandung. At school, we entered some room and played games in the room, such as played “tekken” games, watched short film, and ate spicy noodles. We also tried to get puzzle from aliens buy throwing the water ballons, but it was not as easy as it seen, the aliens were very agile.

In the end of the activity we matched all the puzzles that we had got. And it formed a big picture, there was an astronout in the picture with a text above the astronout. We had so much fun in World Tournament Technofest, not only played games in the activities but we also could practice to speak english with our friends. World Tournament Technofest was a very entertaining and pleasing event!
